Tonight the team experimented with a multitude of materials and ideas for the prototype. I used an Erector set in an attempt to make the claw of the robot. I also apparently used a potato to film it.

While the Erector claw is certainly big enough to grasp a golf ball, the sheer weight of it makes it nearly unfeasible for anything other than structural support in the lower part of the arm. we need lighter materials for this.
